Description:

Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority (ESWACAA), a Category A Public Enterprise responsible for the regulation of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Eswatini and the operation of King Mswati III International Airport. ESWACAA carries out itsmandate in conformity with International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs).

ESWACAA invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Aerodrome Maintenance Supervisor tenable in the Aerodrome Maintenance Department. The position reports to the Maintenance Foreman and will be stationed at King Mswati  III International Airport (Sikhuphe).

1. JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for supervising the implementation of airport buildings maintenance programs, plans and procedures in accordance with international civil aviation standards and recommended practices together.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct daily occupational health and safety inspections to ensure reduction in non-conformances.
• Conduct daily landscaping inspections.
• Implement a maintenance and grasslands management  plan for the airport landscaping.
• Comply to project brief, specifications and ensure timeous completion of projects.
• Supervise labourers’work
• Implement a user-friendly quality system (for what purposes)?
• Report any hazard, near-miss, unsafe condition, or incident that occurs, or is otherwise known about.
• Openly participate in any investigation that may arise because of any reported hazard, near-miss or event that occurs.
• Meet annual budgetary targets for the department

 

2. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Qualification
   • Certificate in horticulture, building services or Equivalent from a reputable institution.
2.  Work Experience
   •  
   • Working knowledge of integrated systems (OHS, Quality Assurance)
   • Working knowledge Microsoft suite
   • General maintenance knowledge
   • 2 years drivers’ licence

 iii) Added Advantage

• Knowledge of horticulture rules and concepts
